Suffering for the Sake of Scripture

Jesus' suffering and glorification is the central focus of Scripture, and these themes need to be the central focus of how Scripture influences our lives and society.  Instead of seeking "wins" for the sake of the kingdom (or for wins themselves!), as followers of Christ we need the insight of Scripture to affirm in us that like the cross of Christ, wins are often disguised as defeats.
