Advent 1: The Anchor of Hope

Hebrews chapter 6 describes how hope is an anchor for believers, and that is an apt metaphor for today.  Hope can disappoint, but Scripture reminds us that to hope in God fosters confidence.  We live in turbulent times, but we have hope as our anchor because of God's proven faithfulness throughout history.  The first advent of Christ anchors our hope for the second one!
