The Light of the World

On this first communion Sunday of the new year we explore the fulfillment of Simeon's prophecy of the baby Jesus that He will be "a light of glory for the Gentiles" when He was presented at the temple.  The three magi and their response to the star and worship of the baby Jesus confirms Simeon's prophecy and sets the stage for the ministry of Jesus.
