Session 6: Learning for Serving - Officers of the Church

Led by Carolyn Nystrom, a ruling elder and the stated clerk of the Presbytery (at the time this video was recorded), this session covers what the roles and vows are for elders, deacons, and pastors in EPC and our Presbytery of the Great Lakes. Carolyn uses an excellent illustration of people in a circle to explain the connectivity of our form of representative government where there is shared power. She takes the time to explain the twelve vows officers must agree with when they are sworn in as leaders. She answers questions about our specific church history reference to our split from Bethel.
