Jesus reconstituted the Passover Supper for a specific nation to become the Lord's Supper for all nations! In a culture where food and feasts played (and still play) a prominent role, it is indeed fitting that Jesus used a local feast to tell the story of His Kingdom, and who ultimately will attend. It is by God's grace alone that we are originally brought to the communion table, and by His grace that we are continually able to come!
