Why are we renovating?

God has blessed us in many ways here at IPC, and the need for expanded and renovated space is in many ways a reflection of his blessings! In light of God’s work among us, we are very excited to engage in a 7-Phase Renovation Project of our facility. This 7-phase process will allow us to better use our resources for our current ministries, as well as allow us to plan for and accommodate our future growth, hence the phrase: Enhancing Today, Embracing Tomorrow.

The renovation work in our main building and over at the Ministry House encapsulate the vision of our renovation beautifully. The fellowship and gathering areas outside of our sanctuary will be greatly enhanced with more space, more restrooms, and updated amenities. The Ministry House will be remodeled to provide better classrooms and meeting spaces for Adult Education and our Youth Group. And, by consolidating our nursery with our children’s ministry activities downstairs, we will be poised to embrace the continuing growth of our already vibrant children’s ministry.

The leadership of IPC has also determined that there is much more to be emphasized than just the construction process of this project. Just as we are praying for God to be at work in providing the funds for the physical work of our building, we are also praying fervently for God to be at work spiritually among us in this process as well. We are filled with anticipation as we seek God together, not just to provide the means for our physical renovation, but also his grace as a means for our spiritual renovation as well!

  • Expanded room for social gathering (opening up the old nursery space)

  • A new coffee service counter (small kitchen)

  • Additional restrooms

  • A larger walk-through coat room

  • Additional storage closets

Phase 4 - LOWER LEVEL (Children’s Ministry)

  • A few walls will be moved to accommodate the new nursery area

Fundraising Commitment

In response to the prevailing conviction of our congregation, the leadership of IPC has determined that we will not begin construction on any phase of the renovation until that phase has been completely funded. We are excited to see how God will answer our prayers and provide the funding for this important, much needed project! If you would like to join us through financial support, please designate your giving by writing “IPC Renovation” on your check. You can put your check in the offering plate on Sunday mornings—using our IPC Renovation envelopes—or mail your gift to the church office at IPC Renovation, 29W260 Batavia Road, Warrenville, IL 60555.
