Local Ministry

NEIGHBORHOOD FOOD PANTRIES AT IMMANUEL

We show love to our nearest neighbors by helping provide for families with long-term or temporary needs for groceries. This thriving, busy ministry has become a true community effort, with volunteers and food donations from many churches and organizations in Warrenville.

We share a close partnership with this evangelical relief ministry just down the road, hosting a mentoring program for at-risk kids and depending on them to administer a Local Emergency Assistance Fund and provide counseling for under-resourced friends here in Warrenville.

WORLD RELIEF DUPAGE/AURORA

These ministry partners encourage us to welcome the stranger, as they serve refugees and immigrants settling in DuPage County. Immanuel offers citizenship coaching for immigrants soon to undertake their interview/exam, and our church regularly hosts World Relief staff meetings and classes that provide job training or drivers-license training.

JUST OF DUPAGE

This agency shares God’s love and provides a range of practical and spiritual programs to empower inmates of the DuPage County Jail to make positive changes in their lives. Immanuel member Chip DeBlois is executive director.

WARRENVILLE PERSONS IN MINISTRY

Staffers from various churches in Warrenville work together year-round to minister to our community, especially with events on the National Day of Prayer, the National Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, and our annual Back-to-School party that benefits our under-resourced local elementary school families.
